Build, Refit, Repeat

Three-class production: the schedule builds the FFG (Guided-Missile Frigate), DDG (Guided-Missile Destroyer), and CAG (Guided-Missile Heavy Cruiser) as one coordinated fleet program. The CAG is TriSeadon's proposed heavy cruiser for fleet command, surface warfare, major naval fires, aviation support, and crisis response.

Production is where TriSeadon turns from concept into a fleet. The acquisition rule is to lock requirements before construction and begin with mature systems, today's qualified workforce, and active U.S. yards while added capacity comes online in parallel. Protected growth margins and common interfaces allow certified improvements to enter later flights and the standard 60-month refit cycle without stopping the line for structural redesign. Major new-technology insertion remains limited by flight so industrial learning and fleet delivery continue.

Parallel transition rule: current carrier, submarine, amphibious, auxiliary, aviation, unmanned, weapon, sustainment, and decommissioning programs continue, and DDG-51 construction remains the destroyer bridge during TriSeadon ramp-up. Existing builders and suppliers may enter TriSeadon at startup or qualify later. Future surface-combatant starts shift only after readiness evidence and formal Navy, Congressional, and contracting decisions.

Production sequence: engineering and common-technology work support the complete family, but hull production is deliberately sequenced: FFG first, CAG second, and DDG third. Technology proven on FFG and CAG becomes available to DDG without changing previously awarded ships.

What Production Covers

Before steel: ship engineering, yard engineering, cleanup planning, workforce setup, DLA positioning, and operator RFPs.
During construction: lane assignment, module flow, common shipsets, installation sequencing, and schedule control.
During refit: detachments offload, ordnance offload, ISO and mission strip, machinery swap, pod replacement, battery replacement, paint, trials, and return to duty.
After removal: used pods, batteries, machinery, and selected support systems return to the DLA rebuild loop for certification and later reissue.
After award: the awarded configuration is frozen. New requirements move to the next hull, lot, flight, or five-year refit; only tightly controlled safety, defect, cyber, legal, or unavailable-part corrections may alter current work.
